Yesterday I posted three scripture passages under the concept of "breakfast", "lunch" and "dinner". The idea in my mind was that of being fed by the Word. For "Dinner" I used Isaiah 55 because I was focused on verse 11:
I read the whole chapter, but it wasn't until this morning that I made the connection between "dinner" and the food references at the beginning of the chapter:
Yes, I am just that slow. I missed that entirely. I wasn't trying to be cute. (sigh)
Isaiah 55 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
I read the whole chapter, but it wasn't until this morning that I made the connection between "dinner" and the food references at the beginning of the chapter:
1“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
2 Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.
Yes, I am just that slow. I missed that entirely. I wasn't trying to be cute. (sigh)
