A while back I heard a commentator who started out his presentation with, "Homosexuality WILL Be Accepted Within the Church!"
He got the obligatory >gasp!< form the crowd. Then he explained his reasoning:
The more I thought about it, the more I realized he may just be right. It really begs the question:
"Is America in a `Post-Christian Culture' in spite of the Church or because of the Church?"
He got the obligatory >gasp!< form the crowd. Then he explained his reasoning:
"Forty years ago no one would have believed that over 50% of the church would be divorced and living in adulterous remarriages, all with the full support and acceptence of the Body of Christ.
Exactly the same arguements that have been used for the widespread accepence of divorce apply to homosexuality. These compromises in the name of "love" and "outreach" and "grace" will inevitably lead the Church to embrace homosexuality as an accepted lifestyle within the body."
The more I thought about it, the more I realized he may just be right. It really begs the question:
"Is America in a `Post-Christian Culture' in spite of the Church or because of the Church?"
