REMINDER
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

A Logical Construct

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
- 2 Chronicles 7:14

This is a promise by God.
It is in the form of: If (W will X) then (Y will Z)

W = actor 1 = "my people, who are called by my name" = "Christians"

X = action = "humble themselves", "pray", "seek my face" and "turn from their wicked ways" = "Humbly Pray, Seek God and Repent"

Y = actor 2 = "I" = "God"

Z = result = "hear from heaven", "forgive their sin" and "will heal their land."

It is a Promise!

IF
"Christians" ---> "Humbly Pray, Seek God and Repent"
THEN
"God" ---> "hear from heaven", "forgive their sin" and "heal their land."

Conclusion:
If we are having a problem with:
"God" ---> ("hear from heaven", "forgive their sin" and "heal their land.")

The first place to look should be:
"Christians" ---> "Humbly Pray, Seek God and Repent"

Any other pursuit toward "healing our land" is probably misplaced and contributing to the problem.

The Unclean Vessel is...

Pretty much a sinner through and through. I have two daughters and a son. God has blessed me over and over on a scale that defies any relationship to my faithfulness to Him. I'm just trying to do right by the people I know and love more of them better, (while practicing hard at being a grumpy old man.)
