REMINDER
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

Cheap Grace

I've been wanting to write a post about the topic "Cheap Grace". I started to do some general research on the topic and, oh, the humbling I received!

Starting in the New Testament and then generation after generation the problem has been the same. So many wonderful writings, so much truth. I just don't have anything to offer that compares to the writings of these wonderful men of God. Our problem is not a lack of truth, it is simply an unwillingness to follow.

It reminds me of a passage I read in a book many years ago. I googled it and was able to find it:
"An age is called Dark not because the light fails to shine, but because people refuse to see it."
— James Michener in the novel "Space"

Pretty much a sinner through and through. I have two daughters and a son. God has blessed me over and over on a scale that defies any relationship to my faithfulness to Him. I'm just trying to do right by the people I know and love more of them better, (while practicing hard at being a grumpy old man.)
